What happens after you open a document
DecoDocs reads your file, prepares analysis input, and returns structured review output in one workflow.
- The document is opened and checked for readability
- A document type is detected (and can be changed by you)
- Analysis runs with the matching checklist for that type
- You receive summary, risks, and actionable findings
Why document type matters
Type selection determines which risks and checks are prioritized.
- Invoice checks focus on totals, tax, and payment terms
- Job offer checks focus on compensation, notice, and restrictions
- Lease checks focus on rent, term, obligations, and renewal conditions
How to get better results
Small input changes usually improve output quality.
- Use clear source PDFs when possible
- Confirm or change document type before final analysis
- For scanned PDFs, use a plan with OCR support
- Review high-risk flags first, then drill into clause explanations
When results look wrong
Most issues are resolved by type correction or file quality improvement.
- Switch to a better-matching document type and rerun
- Retry with a cleaner PDF export if text extraction is poor
- Contact support with your expected outcome and current result
