Token
A unit used to measure text size and AI work. Longer documents usually consume more tokens.
OCR
Optical Character Recognition. Converts scanned or image-only PDFs into text so analysis can work reliably.
Document type (profile)
A type-aware checklist used by DecoDocs to prioritize what to look for (e.g., invoice vs lease vs job offer).
Clause explanation
A focused, plain-language explanation of a selected section, intended to help you understand meaning and implications.
Risk highlight
A flagged item that may require attention (cost, obligation, deadline, restriction, or ambiguity). Always verify with the source document and human approval when needed.
Callable function
A Firebase Functions integration pattern used by DecoDocs clients. It requires Firebase Auth and enforces entitlements server-side.
