More than just colors

Traditional PDF highlighting is manual and unstructured. DecoDocs automatically 'tags' sections of your document based on their functional role in the agreement.

Highlight categories

We use standardized tagging categories to make it easy to filter a document by stakeholder interest.

  • **Financial**: Clauses regarding price, payment terms, and interest.
  • **Legal**: Provisions for liability, indemnity, and dispute resolution.
  • **Operational**: Delivery dates, renewal windows, and service levels.
  • **Compliance**: Data privacy (GDPR/CCPA), security, and audit rights.

Filtering highlights

In the Document Viewer, you can toggle these categories on or off. If you are an operations manager, you might hide the 'Legal' highlights to focus entirely on 'Operational' commitments and 'Financial' triggers.

Consistency across documents

Because we use a unified document type system, the 'Financial' tag will mean the same thing whether you are looking at a Master Service Agreement or a Commercial Lease.
