Automatic risk detection
DecoDocs doesn't just explain what a document says; it surfaces what it *removes* from you or what it *forces* you to do. Risk flags are categorized to help you prioritize your review.
Flag categories
We classify risks into standard buckets so your legal or operations teams can focus on their specific areas of expertise.
- **Financial**: Hidden fees, interest rate triggers, and payment penalties.
- **Operational**: Notice periods, renewal windows, and service level commitments.
- **Legal**: Indemnity clauses, liability caps, and jurisdiction shifts.
- **Unclear**: Ambiguous language that might be interpreted against you.
Obligation tracking
Beyond risks, DecoDocs flags mandatory actions. This includes things like 'You must provide 30 days notice' or 'Provider must maintain insurance'. These are surfaced as active obligations you need to track post-signature.
Severity levels
Flags are further sorted by severity (High, Medium, Info) to ensure you don't miss the 'deal breakers' while wading through administrative details.
